Ribbon Hero – Tuning your Microsoft Office Skills

While browsing the web this past week a download caught my eye. It is from Microsoft and is called “Ribbon Hero”. They tout it as a game for Office 2007. I have Office 2010 and it seemed to still work fine. In Word “game” they have a number of challenges based on 3 categories. “Working with Text”, “Page Design and Layout and “Getting Artistic”. They also have a Quick Points category for extra points. When you run the program you can choose Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or OneNote. Each is its own individual set of challenges. They will say something like “In 3 steps re-create the Smart-Art diagram you see below.” It is then up to you to do it. I know many people were confused or frustrated with Microsoft’s new ribbon interface when it was released and this might be a nice way to help yourself become accustomed to the new look and layout. If you would like to check it out go visit https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26531.
